Sweet homo, welcome to the homo you never had. Year of the Queer is an all ages, sober space. We will be serving seasonally appropriate refreshments. Come as you wanna be because we love you, but please keep this in mind.An important note: QTIPOCALYPSE Collective is made up of queer and trans* people of colour, and seeking to hold accessible events for queer, trans* and gender non-conforming Two-Spirit Indigneous People/People of Colour/Mixed Race folks, from far and wide. This event welcomes all QTIPOCS, far and wide. We ask that allies respect our space. This space is fat-positive, gender-fucked, anti-racist space. “Last Tuesday night at Commercial and E 7th, an acquaintance was gaybashed. Three male assailants shouted at him, “You look like a faggot.” When he replied, “That’s what I am,” they physically assaulted him. He was unconscious before he hit the ground. His jaw and larynx are broken, he’s heavily bruised, and three teeth were broken. VPD is investigating, but there have been no apprehensions. Spread the word, please.”
