Image - An outfit photo of Zoe, fat and pale-skinned with shoulder-length blonde/silver hair and thick-rimmed black glasses, standing in front of a white Porsche. She is a wearing a black tshirt, an unbuttoned purple cardigan, ditsy floral print wide-leg trousers and red suede platform shoes.

Tshirt: Asos Curve
Cardigan: SES (surprisingly stretchy size 14)
Trousers: South via very.co.uk - they don’t ship to Australia, but one of my wonderful British friends kindly shipped them to me!
Shoes: Boston Babe

I really need to wear these trousers more often! I was a bit nervous about trying wide-leg trousers, since apparently only tall people look good in them. LIES.

I love wide legs but they’re usually too short for me!

I want ditsy floral print wide-leg trousers NOW! :O

Zoe’s a perfect angel and I miss her a bunch

My first video! (There’s an evil sounding laugh about two-thirds of the way through this video… that’s the Boyfriend’s dad. He’s not actually evil.) YouTube doesn’t like my chin and decided to cut it out of shot.

Not too long ago, the radiant Kath and the fab Bec spoke to Triple J’s Hack about their experiences, as fat people, with health care professionals (the story is ace, go listen). As part of their research, producer and host Tom Tilley called me to see if I had a list of body positive doctors. I didn’t.
I realised what a massive gap this is. Going to get a check-up, a consultation or a pap smear can be a hugely stressful event for a fat person. Finding a GP, a psychologist or an OB/GYN that won’t stigmatise your body is primarily down to luck.
So I’ve set up the All Bodies Directory (Australia) – http://allbodies.wordpress.com. This is a site that will collate health care professionals from across Australia who treat all bodies carefully and respectfully. Listings will be organised by state, by regions and by specialisations. I want this to be a really valuable resource for the fat community.
The site will rely on user submissions, so if you know a body positive health care professional anywhere in Australia, please please please email me at corpulent.blog@gmail.com. Make sure you include the following information:
Name: Area (e.g. GP, psychologist, OB/GYN): Public or private: Contact number: Address: Comments (optional):
Please reblog to boost the signal!

Bernadette: No, I’ll join this conversation on the proviso that we stop bitching about people, talking about wigs, dresses, bust sizes, penises, drugs, night clubs, and bloody Abba!

Tick: Doesn’t give us much to talk about then, does it?

Aussie Babes!! This is a video for the Still Fierce Rally on May 11th in Canberra.  They’re rallying for equality for all intersex, sex/gender diverse people!!

cutselvage asked: For some reason this last section from your post about Jewishness and Hanukkah:

"But I think I find more comfort in hearing an old Jewish couple talk about how there are no good bagels in San Diego.

Because there really aren’t any good bagels in San Diego."

Really kind of moved me, I don't know why. It's just a perfect piece of phrasing. <3! (Also HI FABULOUS GIRL)
